Privacy notice

Your writing is private
Outloud is built around private reflection. The reflections, ideas, and drafts you write are stored in your account and used to generate and improve your posts. They are never sent to our analytics or monitoring tools.
What we measure
To improve the beta, we collect privacy-first product analytics: which features are used, how flows convert, how long things take, and whether actions succeed or fail. These events carry metadata only — counts, durations, and category labels — never the text you wrote.
Tools we use
- PostHog — product analytics and, with your consent, session replays in which all text content is masked.
- Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session insights with text masked, used to find confusing or broken UI.
- Sentry — error monitoring. Crash reports are scrubbed of cookies, headers, request bodies, and any user-written content.
We do not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for sign-in, a first-party cookie to remember where you first heard about Outloud (for example, a campaign tag), and analytics cookies that you can turn off.
Your choices
You can turn product analytics and session insights off at any time in Settings → Privacy & data. Turning analytics off stops new behavioural data from being collected on your device.
